Yes, the Shi'ites and Sunnis would kill each other but so what? They have been doing that for centuries and will do so whether or not we choose to get caught in the middle. They are doing it now even with our troops there as cops.

They will never set up an enduring democratic state since they have never had one amd don't understand the concept. The very concept of Iraq as a single state was forced on them by the British Mandate in 1921 and has no historical basis to continue to exist.

We have problems to deal with at home. Wouldn't it be better for America to put American needs first and forget about pretending that we can build a democracy in Iraq - which nobody ever appointed us to do?

How about putting America first. Pack up and leave Iraq, Bring all our armed forces home from overseas to American soil. Defend our own country and take care of domestic needs.

Build and strengthen our republic, and give up trying to be an empire. Screw Iraq. America first!

Although I believe we should NOT be in Iraq at all, I think it is a bad idea to just pack up and leave all at once.

Do you go into someone's house (uninvited), mess it up, and then just leave? No.

Now, I understand that their house was already untidy. But we went into Iraq, and made another huge, but completely different mess. We should at least clean it up and then let the troops leave a little at a time until we're all out of there.

We can at least do that much. The US does not want to be known as the Country that went over to Iraq, started a war, and then just left. What did we accomplish? Let's clean up our mess and then get the hell out.

I also think a mass exodus could be suicide for our troops. Not only is the opposing force against us, but now the people we came to "help" will be angry too. We'll be leaving them worse off than before.

I think bush would freak out!! this is his war!! he would try I Believe have every American troop thrown in Jail!! But as far as the American families it would be a Huge relief!! because we are sick and tired of hearing an Marine got himself killed every day! it never ends. and for what To free those People in Iraq. They do not want us over there in the first place so why should we put all of those peoples lives in jeopardy!! those people don't even appreciate our help. let them get their own problems in order and stop depending on us.

what is going to take place whilst the yank troops flow away Iraq is that Iraqis will take greater accountability and police their own united states. Having no American troops in Iraq reminds all Iraqis, government and different companies to paintings difficult to envision peace and stability. the assumption of taking flight Iraq is so Iraq turns right into a self-sufficient united states and not place self belief in US help and militia for its secure practices. Iraq is a sovereign united states and that could desire to be respected. not greater individuals troops could die for Iraqi civil concerns, yet could be an Iraqi police and army death for Iraqi affairs. that's their united states and it may well be Iraqis that could desire to police their united states. you do no longer could have a troops on the floor to maintain relatives with a rustic. the U. S. can nonetheless be lively in Iraq while not having any troops in Iraq. attempt against troops are for attempt against, and the area of the war right this moment's no longer a attempt against, that's policing and securing. something that Iraqis themselves can accomplish. ~Your destiny president.

If we just up and leave, the country would fall back down and the U.S. would get blamed for leaving when it wasn't stable.
