She sounds like she has an upper respiratory infection. Take her to the vet as soon as possible. Puppies that young can't go very long without food.

I appreciate that you did take to the vet. Did she not cough and gag while there? Or is that just now starting? How much of an exam did he do for her?
Normally, they listen to heart and lungs, check ears and eyes, run their hands all along the body to feel for weight or anything that isn't normal. A fecal to check for worms. By 12 wks she should have been dewormed at least twice and had puppy shots.

But you can check for a few things yourself. Open her mouth and really look inside and make sure you do not see problem in mouth or throat. Got something lodged in teeth or back throat. Look around for anything she may have chewed on that she shouldn't. She is a pup and they will try to eat anything!! Is her belly swollen up. Is she able to go potty ok? Normal looking stool or nasty/runny?

Most vets are open at least half days on Saturdays. Or have a emergency vet on call. I question that the vet did a thorough exam for her if she was acting this way when saw him. If this just started getting worse then it could be several things causing. But do a exam yourself. As long as she will drink that is good. Keep her calm. Watch her closely for any changes throughout the night if you can not get a vet tonight.

Some folks on here do not understand that not every community has the same option for a vet after hours and weekends. I can remember years ago when I could not get anyone from my vet to call me back for an emergency. I had spent quite a bit with them and was a regular customer. Luckily my dog was ok until Monday. I found a new vet!

Hope your pup will be ok. Do your best to get to vet, maybe a different one for a second opinion.

Just like with humans, if you don't like the answer that your regular vet gives you, go to another vet for a second opinion.

In my opinion, if your puppy doesn't eat for a whole 24hours, then something is up. A hungry dog will eat and if your god hasn't eaten for a full day, then something is making him not want to eat.

Go find another vet and get another opinion.

Take it to the vet....its that simple or the dog could possibly die.

If you can't afford a vet....you should not have a pet...

Good Luck
