Before, I used to be very satisfied with downloading any files with limewire (music, movie, etc...) at blazing speeds (I use limewire pro)....but today the download speed decreased so much.. I have a dsl connection but with limewire the download speed is lesser than that of a dial up.I'm having no problem with downloading at anywhere in the web. It's just in limewire I encounter that problem. And it's the pro version so why is limewire like that today?
Don't tell me how to CONFIGURE limewire coz I KNOW how to configure it. In fact I already configured it for optimum performance the 1st tym i downloaded it. What i wanna know is the problem with limewire nowadays why its performance is deteriorating.

I kind of start thinking that the developers of limewire
intentionally dropped the speed because of people who use the free limewire to download the pro version. They are pissed off so they thought of a way for the people to realize that if they want high performance they have to actually PAY for it. and not download it somewhere. What do you guys think? Any other comments?

Limewire has a lot of spyware on it.. With the recent law suits and bad media. They are probably not running their servers at full capacity. This would cause an immediate slowdown to down-loaders such as yourself.

I won't tell you what to do with Limewire Pro or other versions. But why pay for it when they have a free limewire that seems to not have problems? I guess there were many court hearings or descision on downloading or sharing files ruled, that it was okay as long you don't sell it or re-broadcast it. I;m not sure if it is illegal. From what I understand right now, for personal use, Limewire is not il-legal. But, I've noticed they's taken great strides in getting the bogus downloads and have added a "trash can" symble on many down loads. This make only fairly safe download sights I guess, safer. But, at any rate, I don't know of any problems with the sight, and it seems to be no slower, as you described, than before.

i dont know but i do know that it is also not as popular. my brother goes on about itunes or some crap. and my friends use some place starts with b. i do use limewire and i to have found it to be going down hill.

I dont know! I love Limewire, I have it too, but try un-installing it and then re-installing it, that always works for me!

I'm giving my vote to hippyray6!!!!!! I loved limewire...about three years ago, but now it ain't nothing but a bunch of virus ridden crap!!!!!! Sad but true

because of fools who dont know how to use it and because of fools who hack it or attach viruses to their files they post for downloading just to piss ppl off use bit torrent but do yourself a favor and download music , pdf files etc... only do not download software if you do, you deserve whatever you get
