Ok my name is Casey im sorta new at this so im not gonna put alot of info but here it goes...
Ok i watched that movie Cinderella 3 and it said in that movie that when you touch someones hand you know its love well i think of love this boy weve been friends for along time like since 4th grade and now were in 8th so yaaa but ive liked him for a long time and i know he likes me (but i aint gonna ask him out cause i dont wanna ruin our friendship) and i can listen to like a love song and the first thing that pops in my head is him but i think i love him. I hug him at school i call him i can tell him almost anything and i think i love him and i watched that movie and it made me think "So if i touch his hand ill know In my heart that its love" so do you think i should do it?

Im in 8th grade too.
But Honestly, i dont think it matters about the whole Cinderella 3 part. And i think you already know the answer about the love thing. seems to me you love him. And dude. if you know you like him ask him out. Take a risk. Don't wait, otherwise pretty soon there won't be a risk for you to take. ive gone out with a best friend like that before, i just made him promis we'd still be best friends even if we did break up. We are still best friends till this day. But honestly, the whole Cinderella 3 thing...doesn't matter.

First off, you're too young to know and understand the depths of what real love is hon. Right now what you're feeling is puppy love..a crush on this boy. Touching his hand will not cause you to know if it's love. When you're older and can spend enormous amounts of time, having patience and building a trusting relationship w/someone is the only way to know if it's love or not. Please don't believe all the crap you see in movies...esp the make-believe fairy tale, Disney ones. They are there for your enjoyment, your entertainiment...not for comparing to real life situations.
I see nothing wrong w/touching his hand to see how he reacts tho. But don't be obvious about it or you'll have some explaining to do, lol.

i think you should tell him how you feel and see how he reacts. Im in 8th grade too so i know what your going though. If you really get along as well as you say i think your friendship wont be ruined even if you do break up. Yes, that is a possibilty im not going to lie, i worry about that too. But lets face it, youve been frineds for 4 years, you seem to get along very well, you talk a lot, hug in school, i think you would be a nice couple. Just dont ask him out girls dont do that. haha. But yeah, tell him, see how he reacts and hopefully he'll feel the same way and ask you out. good luck!!

Honey.....You will touch a lot of hands over the next 100 years....and love does not generate, permeate, or consecrate there...It starts in your heart, travels to your head...and well...just enjoy your friend. Love him as a school-time boyfriend....Life and love will happen.

Touching his hands might give you butterflies but it is not going to tell you whether you are in love with him or not. If you want to hold his hand, do it.
