I have to go to a baptism for the first time next month. I was asked to be the childs god mother. Since I have never been to a baptism I am unsure of what to wear. I got some advice and outfit ideas from a few of you the public. But I happened to browse on a website and found what I thought to be a really cute dress. It is however strapless, but I was planning on buying a cardigan of some sort to wear over it so it covers my shoulders.

If you want to look at the dress and give me your honest opinion then go to this website:
www.dillards.com
then click on the juniors tab.
click dress on the far left side.
then click view 80 per page
count down to 14. But only count the far right column.
It isnt the 14th dress, but when you get to the 14th dress, it is the dress right next to it on the left.

The name of the dress is: Teeze me strapless/toile-print dress.

Please if you decide to look at it. Give me your honest opionion. Just tell me if it is okay to wear to the baptism.

For those of you who havent ansered my question yet. If you decide to look at the dress, I am planning on buying a cardigan to wear with it so my shoulders are covered. What color would you suggest? I was thinking maybe white?

Adorable dress! Go for it! Yes, wear a cardigan over it, you can take it off at the reception afterwards (assuming the reception is at someone's home and not at the church). Have fun!

Just because I was raised a strict catholic I was always taught that you should never wear strapless dresses in a church. The rule in my church was that your shoulders always had to be covered so , just in case, you might want to cover your shoulders so as not to "offend" anyone. Make sure you wear softer colors too, no bright reds or blacks. and nothing too low cut or short.

Hope that helps somewhat!!!

Yes, it's ok to wear it. Just cover up your shoulders and it's perfect. Very cute and appropriate.
