My parents did... I WOULD NEVER EVER SPANK!!!!!! #1. It teaches that hitting is okay (its NOT!) #2. IDK if you ever been spanked, but my parents always seem to do it in a blind rage! so it was more revenge than Punishment. #3. It doesn't help, I use to feel like such crap as a child b/c they always broke me down, or one of my sisters would get in trouble and I'd get blamed! Which leads me to #4, Some of the kids will turn out to be good liars b/c & will learn to create "scape goats." #5. Wait till there a teen. all that resentment will come out (i know mine did) & they''ll fight back if need! (good for them)
