It sounds like you and your sister share a room. Can she put the bird in another room? Is there a night light in the room, or maybe light coming in through a window? Most birds are quiet when it is dark, so put a scarf over the cage when you are getting ready for bed. The decreased light should put the bird in the mood to sleep, then when you turn out the lights even light coming in through the windows shouldn't wake the bird.

A pet has rights, but it doesn't have the right to make any family member's life miserable. If your sister loves the bird so much (and I am a bird lover and have finches, doves, quails, chickens, ducks, and geese), then she needs to take full responsibility for it. It's really not asking so much to have the bird spend the night in her room so you can sleep.
Often putting a cover over a birdcage at night will help. Birds tend to be quiet in a very dark environment. But in any case, your sister needs to consider the needs of the human members of the household as well as her feathered friend. Your sister may be mad at you, but if this would cause her to never talk to you again, I would worry about your overall relationship with her. Surely your happiness and success in school should mean something to your sister.

OK, number one, what KIND of bird does she have?
And number two, is she covering it at night? Birds need to be covered at night so they can sleep/roost.
In your defense, I did have a Senegal parrot once that I had to literally put her cage (with her in it) into the closet every night and shut the door just to get some sleep.............. so depending what kind of bird your sister has, there may be a different strategy.

nicely, a lovebird looks to connect up with basically approximately all the standards. My first chicken became right into a lovebird. She rather would not make that lots noise. She's small, and genuinely likes to be held. Lovebirds do no longer likely choose that extensive of a cage. yet they opt to debris around in it so make valuable there is room for that in the process the journey that your thinking. And lovebirds rather do take exhilaration in the attention of their proprietors. I have been given mine for $2 hundred at a place called the appropriate Parrot. that's a very valuable place and the husband and spouse working there rather be attentive to their stuff. additionally in case you purchase a chicken from there they are going to supply you an entire life low fee on each thing interior the keep and that they are going to groom your chicken for loose. :) wish I helped!

What kind of bird? Birds generally are quiet at night unless it is exposed to light or stimulation. Tell her to cover the cage at night.

If I were you I would fried that bird up, joke LOL
I mean just tell your sister straight at her face that the bird is annoying and that It can interfere in your school. Maybe you should go and tell her that she should put it somewhere else like her room as you said.... and if that doesnt help go kill the bird or give it to someone. LOL
Hope that helps.

Sounds like one of our cockateils. He likes to make all kinds of loud singing and whistling noise at bedtime. We put a blanket over his cage when he gets in one of his loud moods at night and it usually quiets him down within a few minutes. Also would help if the room is dark as well so he can not see a lot of light as they tend to be quieter when it is dark.
