Paul tells us that “[spiritual] blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles come in. And so all Israel
will be saved, as it is written: The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob [Israel]”
(Rom. 11:25-26). God will soon begin dealing directly with His chosen people, Israel. To learn why, it is important to refer to
the Old Testament book of Daniel. This book—and Chapter 9 especially—is often referred to by Biblical scholars as “The Key to All End-Times
Prophecy” God’s chosen people—the Nation of Israel—were initially called out (like the Church today—”church” from
ecclesia = called-out-ones) to: 1) Witness of God in the face of idolatrous and corrupt nations (Is. 43:10-12); 2) To show the
blessedness of serving God—protection, safety, thriving culture, in God’s everlasting arms (Deut. 33:26-29); 3) To receive
Divine Revelation (Deut. 4:5); 4) To bring forth the Messiah, who was promised to Abraham, and who would bless Israel, the
gentiles and all the nations (Isa. 7:14). However, Israel turned its back on God, and became corrupt, religiously, politically and
socially (like the USA today). Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed, many Jews were killed, and many were led captive
into Babylon, Daniel being one of them. In 557 BC, Daniel was praying for his people Israel, when the Lord sent His personal
angel, Gabriel , to answer his prayer as to the re-gathering of his people; the restoration of Jerusalem and the Temple, and
the time when the promised Messiah would arrive.
THE 70 WEEKS PROPHECY— DAN. 9:21-27: Gabriel told Daniel : “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people
and upon thy holy city to 1) finish the transgression, 2) and to make an end of sins, 3) and to make reconciliation for in iniquity, 4) and to bring in everlasting righteousness, 5) and to seal up the vision and prophecy, 6) and
to anoint the most holy.”
START OF 70 WEEKS: “Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to
build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks and threescore and two weeks” or 69 weeks. This
Command was issued March 14, 445 BC by Artaxerxes to rebuild Jerusalem (Neh. 2). Consequently, the 2nd Temple—also
known as Herrod’s Temple—was also re-built.
69 OF 70 WEEKS FULFILLED: “...and Messiah shall be cut off, but not for himself (nothing He did, but would not gather
His kingdom, due to rejection by His people). This prophesy was fulfilled exactly—to the minute—-483 YRS from the date the
command was issued to re-build Jerusalem: On April 6th, 32 AD Christ rode into Jerusalem and allowed the people to claim
Him King. But because He wasn’t the Messiah the Jews wanted they gave Him over to the Romans who crucified Him. (He
forgave them. He’s not dead.)
And this begins the "Present Age" a near 2,000 year period where God does not seem to be dealing directly with His chosen people, the Jews. After the Lord’s
Resurrection, He commissioned his followers to preach the gospel to all the world, then in 70AD the 2nd Temple in Jerusalem
was destroyed and the Jews were dispersed (the Diaspora) throughout all the nations. However, salvation (Jesus the
Messiah) is of the Jews; and salvation is “for the Jew first” (Rom. 1:16); and “God has not cast away his people which He
foreknew” (Rom. 11:2). KEY PROPHETIC SIGN POSTS JUST PRIOR TO THE 70TH WEEK, SIGNIFYING THE END OF THE PRESENT AGE
Since there is to be a total of 490 years to “make an end of sin....etc.’ there are obviously 7 years remaining—the 7-Year
Tribulation Period, during which time God deals directly with Israel. Key Prophetic Signposts Before the Beginning of the 7-Year Tribulation Period (70th Week of years):

1. 1948- Israel re-gathered as a Nation—The Middle East is a boiling pot. Ever since Israel was re-established as a nation
in 1948, via UN Decree, the surrounding nations have wanted to destroy Israel. But the Lord had gathered back His people
as He promised (Isaiah 11; see also Luke 21: ). In this same year the the UN Charter made a provision that will pave the way
for development of the 10-Nation Confederacy/World-Governing System (BEAST of REV. 13). The Original UN charter
deems that the world will eventually be organized into 10 major governing sectors with Jerusalem as the center of this System
(Babylon the Great, REV. 18). 2. 1967—Jerusalem
becomes part of Israel— Jerusalem is the Fig Tree in the Lord’s Parable in Matt. 24 where He told His disciples “This
Generation hall not Pass until all these things be done” including the 70TH WEEK (see also Mark 13:30). In 1967 Israel drove out the Jordanian troops and Jerusalem became officially part of
Israel. 3. The Temple—Not re-built yet, but...

OTHER SIGNIFICANT EVENTS PRIOR TO THE 70TH WEEK
Judgment of Gentile Nations—All nations, including those round about Israel, will be judged according to how they treat
Israel (Jer. 51). Most of the Islamic nations want to “annihilate” God’s people. A war on a large-scale will soon break out over
this. CHURCH RAPTURE — Christ removes His followers up to Heaven (II Thess., Rev. 4, et. al.) before the “war with nations” (Ezek. 38) over Israel breaks out and the Anti-christ is revealed. The church is raptured out b/cause “God has not appointed us to wrath” ( I Thess. 5:9 ) that will be poured out during the Tribulation. People are “storing up wrath for themselves” (Rom. 2:4-5). Jesus not only died for our
sins but took all of God’s wrath for sin on Himself.

War of Gog and Magog (Ezek. 38,9) —Nations that hate Israel are aligning themselves against them as stated in Ezek. 38.
It is theorized that this Russian-Muslim coalition will see the U.S. as severely weakened by either the RAPTURE, or some
other condition (mired in the war in Iraq, economic chaos, stupidity, etc.); therefore, they will be emboldened to move against Israel which is at peace in unwalled villages. Ezek. 39 says that these nations will retreat from coming
against Israel while fire rains from the sky upon them, as well as on Gentile nations afar off. The armies
coming against Israel are stopped. We see in Ezek. 39 that God has supernaturally protected Israel. However, Anti-Christ steps in to “make peace after war with nations” (Rev. 6), probably attributing God’s work of preserving Israel as his own.

Rapid Development of the 10 Kingdom BEAST (World Govt. of REV. 13). U.S. will have lost its status as a super-power
and be assimilated into one of the 10 World-governing regions. (In late 2006, the Council on Foreign Relations, based in
New York, reported that plans are in place now to make North, Central and South America into one of these regions, and
plans are being made to mint an “Amero”—like the European Euro.) Currently, President Bush and other members of the Trilateral Commission are negotiating the details of making this plan reality.
