Or do they just pray, get up, and go on their way?

This is a respectful question, the same as with all my questions. Thank you.

Not that I've heard of. We're supposed to try to do as much good as we can on a daily basis. The Quran even says that if you don't live it, your prayers mean nothing. The terrorists, for example, make it a point to pray 5 times a day. They concentrate so much on the little stuff that they ignore the big stuff, like not killing innocent people. They are only giving lip service. I hope this helps you in some way. :)

listen to what.
prayer is for the remembrance of God.
So you stay on the right path of righteousness.
Yes there are 5 daily prayers that take about average 3-5 mins(maybe less or more depending on person)
but those are the obligatory prayers.
there are many other prayers such as and saying from the prophet(pbuh) that people say before transporting to another place
or before eating(like grace)
when waking up
going to sleep.
Then there are sunna prayers (sunna means what the prophet did..but they are not obligatory) which are performed in the same manner and way as the 5 prayers just not obligatory.

when you pray you may take a minute of silence or whatever
but basically you just pray and go on with your day
