Most jews consider Friday the sabbath. That is why you see many Orthodox people walking on Friday nights to Temple. I'm sure many people of other faiths go to service on fridays as well.

I went to a fellowship meeting at church tonight.
Almost every Friday night we have something for the youth at our church. We also have Sunday morning and night service and Wednesday night service.
