Hamsters and mice, when they have babies, have to be left alone and quiet for at least a week or two, without cleanin the cage. Don't worry about the babies, the mother will keep them clean.
If you get them upset by trying to pick them up (I know that they're cute to see!), it is possible that the mother can eat one or more of the babies. I don't know why they do it, but it happens.
So..just wait.

My mouse had 14 babies at one time, and my she didn't mind me touching or picking up her babies. But just incase, take the mom mouse out of the cage first. Then, scoop the babies out together, so they will keep warm, and if you were to pick each mouse up individually, you could hurt them because they are very fragile. Set them down in a padded shoe box or something that is separated from the mom, as she might be afraid of the new surrounding, and then might hurt her babies. Then, after you clean the cage, set all of the babies in the cage, and then place ma ma mouse back in the cage. This should work out fine, as it did for me. Good luck with everything! And baby mouse are absolutely ADORABLE when they get fur and their eyes open. Have fun with them!

DO NOT TOUCH THE BABIES!! she may kill or eat them. wait at least a week or two. they will be fine until then. think of the nasty places and things wild rodents have their babies in. yours are surly in a cleaner place.
