I'm shy, can anyone give me some tips on flirting? how to get a guys attention? what are some icebreakers?

If you like someone or want them to notice you, make sure they know you are alive. Talk to them, laugh at their jokes, compliment some aspect about them. Smile, look into their eyes. Its pretty easy, don't be shy. I know you say you are shy, but you are going to have to be confident if you want to get someones attention. Imagine you are in a room with a whole bunch of people, do you think someone is going to notice you if you are not interacting with the rest of the room?

flirting is not everyone's style..so don;t feel awkward if it does not come naturally.. + sometimes it's better if the guy does the flirting so .. he does not get the wrong idea from you flirting..right ladies..(i can see some of them chewing my head off right now)... there are some angry bitter ones on tonight...)..

ok..so some light weight flirting techniques that always catch my eye,. are done with the " eyes"
you can make eye contact ..start to smile...look away then before he breaks the glance look back and mouth... Hi.. then wait.. and look away..
or if he's really hot ..to you.. when you make eye contact take adeeb dreath as you sort of roll your eyes a but..
and there is always just a wink and a 'hi' as passing..

now withou knowing your age..again...i should no say anything else...it may get xxx rated.. ( I get flagged all the time.. grrrrrrrrr.

Just be playful Get his attention all the time For example if he wears gloves take his gloves playfully. Play fight with him, Touch him on the shoulder ever now and again. Small light touches every now and again. I know it sounds stupid but have tickle fights, Ask for his phone number or msn, Go out side with him to the cinema for example or to the beach, Talk flirts with him friendly. Make eye contact but not to much. Say for 3 seconds then glance off casually but make sure you still seem interested. i'm really shy myself and the best advice i can give to you is to learn why it is you are shy. that is the best way to deal with the problem. i've become extremely fascinated by reading body language and that has helped me out a great deal. if you can learn how to act like an extrovert by using body language, you can teach yourself to be the ice breaker.

check out books like the complete idiot's guide to body language and the shyness solution. check amazon - they've helped me a great deal.

as for flirting tips the best advice i can give to you is to make great eye contact and to smile frequently. i know when you're shy it's sometimes difficult to make direct eye contact, but you will be perceived as a warmed individual if you play into this. :)

If you are shy, you are probably modest and a lot of guys like that in you. Guys like to hear how well built they are so you can start there. You can talk about current events, music or movies, entertainers, etc. People like to talk about themselves so ask a guy you like about himself of what sports or musical groups / studies, he likes. The art of conversation is to listen. But have something to say yourself. The idea is to have 'common ground' to conversate about. The more you do it the more confident you will be. Don't be discouraged if someone dosen't seem interested. That will happen time to time. Everybody we meet will not like us.
But there are those who will welcome your presence.

i used to be shy around guys too, but i'm not anymore. the guys in my class always tell jokes and fool arouind, and i join them most of the time. they usually play cards at break or lunchtimes and i join them every day. i hang out in the park and play tag and stuff with them.
if you have a sense of humor, and you're competitive, boys will usually talk a lot to you.
the rules i listed above applies for teens only, though...

Say hello and smile ;) I like women that do that or ask odd questions to keep a conversation going & talk a lot about yourself to find some common interest *not to be self centered* but so they get to know you. Hope this helps you a little bit.

if ur cute, just go up to a guy you like, and batt your eyelashes, and be lyk, hey, sup? and ask him to dance or something, u kno, i used to be SO shy!!!!!!! i wouldn't talk to nybody, i'd just read a book or something, then i found out this guy liked me, then i got all confident and stuff. being liked can do WONDERS for your self esteem!
