Khao Yai National Forest to the east of Bankok. This is where the mountainous region is, even though they are just hills. Khao Yai has a main road that goes up to the top of the mountain and several other roads that criss cross all over. This is wild life that is not contained in a zoo. You can see elephants, tigers, baboons, deer, and other creatures in the wild and yes, these are dangerous. The rivers and waterfalls you can hike to will be full of fish, leeches and other insect life. Depending how far you venture into the woods or jungle. As mentioned, I would not advise this because this is natural uncontained habitat and these wild animals can kill humans. Right before dusk appears to be a good time to see animals, and if you are adventurous and have a car or driver and can stay after dark, you will surely see many animals if you drive around the roads at night. You never know when an elephant will come crashing out of the forest right in front of your vehicle.
