I'm a vegetarian and I recieved a cookbook of soups. But even all the veggie soups call for either chicken broth or beef broth. There has to be something I can do.

There's vegetable broth. You can find it in the supermarket next to the other broths. (Swanson makes a good veggie broth.) Or you can make your own. Here's one good recipe:

I make what I call "Pantry soup" because you can find all of the things you need to make this soup in your pantry. And the great thing is, you don't need to add water!

Here's what you need to do:

can of greenbeans
can of diced tomato
can of pineapple
can of cut potatoes
can of corn
can of anything you like
add rice, barley, or beans if you like

But the trick is that you DON'T DRAIN the cans, you just throw the entire can into a big pot and all of the flavors of all juices from the veggies are still mixed, it has a nice blend to it. Make sure you don't skip out on the tomato juice (if you like tomatoes that is)

Add any herbs, spices, salt and pepper to your taste.

Vegie broth should do..... ya think? LOL! But really, it's easy to make but also available in cans. PS Why the hell call yourself a "Vegetarian" cookbook & ask for animal based stocks? Stooooopid! Go to your local health food store & do some research. They have many things like concentrates that you can put a shot of in water that are delicious as well as offering many extra health benefits. Good Health!

there shouldnt be any clarification why you couldnt. if youre including it to a minimum of something, pour it in a small quantity at a time and style it reason fowl broth is each so often concentrated, so in case you upload an identical quantity of fowl broth as fowl soup your end effect could be way too salty tasting.
