My girlfriend (of almost ten months) who is 22 and I 26 were having dinner at my place, I noticed I forgot to get the wine from the cellar in the basement. I asked her if she would get it, she said. I remembered I should have told her the basement door sometimes gets jammed from the inside. When I get to the basement as I thought the door had jammed from the inside and my girlfriend was banging on the door. As I opened the door the entire basement was pitch black. And as I looked down at my girlfriend’s terrified face, I noticed her entire body was trembling. I was surprised at seeing her like this but when I looked down even further I noticed that she had literally WET HER PANTS!!! Anyway all of a sudden she started to sob wrapping her arms around herself, crying over and over. “Oh no, I-I didn’t mean to- I’m sorry, I’m sooo sor-ry.” I held her close telling her that every thing was all right. Rubbing her back and hair, I didn’t care that she was wet, I just wanted her to stop crying. She was hysterical, trembling from head to toe, clutching on to me with a death grip. She cried until she could cry no more, she felt so weak in my arms. When she had calmed down I helped her clean up, and lay beside her as she fell a sleep. Even though I wanted to know why she reacted the way she did I didn’t ask.

Should I ask her or forget and never bring it up?
Should I be concerned?

I honestly think you should ask her but don't bring up the wetting the pants bit because that could upset her. When the two of you are relaxing just tell her u want to ask her something really important and also ask her not 2 get upset but this particular issue really concerns you. For your sake ask her and have some peace of mind. GOOD LUCK.

aww thats well cute.
dont worry about it i wud be the same if i was trapped in a pitch black cellar! she was probably just scared especially as she was in ur house and she had never been down there before.
Dont ask her she will probably be embarased about it but ur reaction was really sweet. dont contradict that by bringing it up agen and upseting her. just let her think of the time wen u wer there for her without having to no all the details. x

Wait a LONG while before you say anything. Preferably don't say anything at all. Just remember most importantly do not bring it up in an argument. She is probably very embarresed at you seeing her like that so talking about it may make things worse, just try your hardest not to let her get into the same situation again. Good Luck xXxXx

oh james thats sad, u know what some people have a certain phobia for dark places, enclosed places, some are scared of spiders, heights, water, there are all sorts of phobias, so maybe she has some kind of phobia for dark enclosed places. very normal. just let it slide. unless you notice some changes in her after the incident. otherwise, that's very normal, people with phobia react in different ways. so forget it, it happens.
best of luck.
