How come a lot of guys don't hold doors open, offer to carry a girl's things, do something else besides saying "Oh, me too" when a girl says she's cold, give up their seat for a girl, or any of this stuff anymore. I know this is the 21st century and I sound naggy but a girl needs a guy to make her feel cared for, you know?

Because most modern girls don't like being treated as weak and helpless, and guys don't want to be seen as sexist.

Oh lord. A chivalrous man can steal my heart. But so can a bad boy! Im 16 too and I think It's good you're chivalrous. There aren't many of those men that are easy to find. They are so sweet and they are immediately attractive. Women like to be treated like ladies which is what a gentleman should do :)

There are guys out there that do things like that. They're just few, far, and in between. Not to brag, but just the other day I had an old lady thatnk me for holding the door for her, and tell me that you don;t find gentlemen around anymore. I try to do what I can when I can. It's just a little harder now days to do things like that when you know that most people don't care anymore...

Do you obey men as if they were your lord and master?
If not, rethink what century you most prefer living in. Maybe it's the 21st Century after all.
That said -- I do a lot more of that stuff than many men. On the other hand, I'm 47 years old and have other biases in my upbringing.

Because of women's lib.
"I don't need no man to open my door!"
That's the attitude a lot of guys expect. So they don't even try. It's such a shame too because after walking dozens of girls to their cars late at night, and giving them my coat, and walking them under my umbrella, and of course opening the doors, I can tell you that 99% of women appreciate the gesture. The more out of the way it is for me, the more she generally appreciates it.
And chivalry is addictive. I love hearing that "thank you." Oh it warms my heart.

I have always done all those things as it was how i was raised and I have been cheated on and dumped time and time again. I think alot of men don't bother because they don't have to. I still open doors, and give up my coat. It was my ex's favorite thing about me.

well because some guys just dont care, all they want is some booty but there are some that just are too prideful and feel like it's stupid, or in my case they have been very badly hurt by the ooposite sex and dont beleive your worth the extra effort unless you prove i to them

Many men still are chivalrous.But, I know a few women who push it away. They don't like it... Not me!! I love it!! : )
