Evaporation, condensation, and then precipitation. Water evaporates and becomes clouds which then condenses into rain droplets and waters the earth with rainfall. Finally an easy question for a change. Thank you.

Water evaporates, or turns light enough to float, then raises into the sky with all the other water doing the same thing untill they get too heavy to float any longer, because of gravity, and become rain!:-)

After water evaporates from oceans, lakes, and rivers, it rises until it becomes to cool to remain a vapor. It then condenses into small droplets of liquid, or, if cold enough, freezes, and becomes snow. By this time winds have usually carried the water far away from where it evaporated.
