Neutering will stop urine marking inside the house, as long as the dog is already housetrained. Definitely get him neutered. My friend had a very hormonal cocker spaniel male and he stopped marking in the house as soon as he was neutered.

If a dog is doing something out of hormones, then neutering will definitely help, if not eliminate, the problem. But if it has just become a habit for him, it might require something more. Definitely get him neutered, though.

It's a crap shoot.

Since he's 5 and has been doing it his whole life, it's likely that it's a habit and he'll continue. Especially if it has developed a function of communicating with your other dogs. It's possible that hormonal changes may make him totally forget to do it, too. Just depends on the dog.

neutering would never stop her from marking everything coz basically when u neuter the primary purpose is for her not to conceive anymore. your dogs problem is a behavioral one. dog should have been taught the proper way and place to pee when they were young. now that she is old, it would be difficult.

Eventually but not right away. It takes a while for the hormones to get out of the system.

It would certainly help...I don't think he's old enough for bladder problems, so neutering him would probably be the best bet.

Neutering your dog woun't stop him from marking his territory everywhere. "Marking" for him may be a sign of insecurity.
