can you use food coloring on a poodles hair? i saw a post that said you could but not sure if it's true

to just me's question: if i had a poodle i would dye it light pink or light purple.
to everyone: I DON'T HAVE A POODLE! i was just curious!

Yes you can, though why you would want to is beyond me.
But yes, it is safe.

Sure, But I prefer shaving my poodles before cooking them. But if you like your poodles cooked with pink hair, hey, what ever floats your boat.

I'm thinking about dying the tips of my Malti-Poo's hair with food dye. I'm not sure if it will work or not. But it won't hurt it. Just dye a bit of hair with the color and see what works out.

LOL! Yer you can, i remember seeing a poodle that was the brightest pink. If only you could take them clubbing with you that would be hilarious!!

i have two questions:
1) why would you want a poodle?
2) why would you want to dye its hair with food coloring?

probably, but I think rit dye would give better results. I've never dyed my hair with it but i know when i get it on my hands it doesnt seem to irratate and the color will stay on my hands for days.

yes you can i do it all the time and my vet says its okay.. i have a tiny teacup poodle and i dye her different colors all the time. the only color you cant color them is red. red is toxic to small dogs such as tiny teacup poodles.

You need to use large amounts in order to cover the hold dog. But yes this is true.

You can, but do you really want to?
My neighbors used to color their dogs according the seasons (red and green for christmas, pastels for easter, etc)
