I have a baby connection blue travel playpen. It has 4 red buttons on the sides that I thought were supposed to be pushed in to fold this thing up but I have been pushing and pulling and beating and this thing will not fold up. Is there some secret to this? I am going on a trip in two days and I HAVE to have this with me for my baby to sleep in. Her bassinet won't fit in my car.

Start with the center pull. Some play pens have to be twisted and then pulled up because of the locking mechanism. Others simply pull up.

Take the "mattress" up to get to the center pull.

travel cots are often small just for sleeping in hotels and things. But playpens are great and they should all fold up. Depends on how fussy your are on how easy it assembles and collapses. Mine is from Mothercare that I bought just to be in our house, not specifically to go anywhere. It does collapse and fit into the provided bag that is about 3 and a bit ft long maybe half a ft in thickness and weight....say 3 kilos....which is what....erm 7 odd pounds.. But its a little fiddly, but to be honest just as fiddly as collapsing my rather complicated jogging stroller. lol. There is a brand called 'pack n play' which just by the name sounds rather helpful. I suggest just going on to the mothercare or toysrus website and having a look at all they have to offer and the info and customer reviews with each item, which you could also do on Amazon. Once you are armed with some info and a few favourite brands and models then you can go instore if thats what youd prefer. Sorry I couldnt be much more help. But also, remember playpens can come with a lot of extra stuff. I paid a lot extra for mine because it had wheels to make it easier to move it around my house, a thin play matress (they dont always come with one and some can have quite hard surfaces), a clip on change board, a big side pocket for storing stuff, and an attachment thing that brought the matress surface a lot higher up so you could put younger babies in that cant sit up yet, like a day bed.

Aren't playpens such pains in the butt..lol. I have 3 different ones that do different things and each one folds differently. Try doing opposite sides first then the other sides. Then try to pull the floor up first then do the sides if that doesn't work. Then I'd try to leave the floor as is and click the button and pull up on the bar while pressing....

otherwise hopefully someone has that exact model and can be of more help.....when I got my co-sleeper - it took the lady in the consignment shop about an hour to dismantle the stupid thing..lol.

Foldable Playpen

I have a Graco Pack-N-Play and it is SO hard to fold up!

With mine, you absolutely have to pull up on the center area first or else it won't budge. You may need two sets of hands to actually collapse it; each of you take a side and work on the buttons. It's really complicated, but possible.

If you can't fold it, call the help line (You should find a number on the playpen itself. They hide them pretty well, but I'm sure there is one).

Hmm....I don't know if it works the same as ours, but here's how ours works. you have to pull up on a tab that is located in the center of the bottom of the playpen. That should relieve enough of the tension for you to be able to push the red buttons and collapse the pen down. Good luck!

Take the pad out. Pull up the ring in the middle of the floor first. Lift up on each rail slightly and push red button. Make sure both sides of rail release. May have to repeat this twice for each button if they don't.

OK, FIRST you have to pull up the center handle thingy. THEN you can press and fold the sides down. Hope this helps.

there should be a red pull thing underneath the padding part that pulls up then you collapse the red things on the side
