I've been thinking of dying my hair for a while but I want to dye it darker. I think my skin could handle darker hair (meaning it's not too fair that brown hair would look gross) I would just like anothers opinion.

And what brown?

No...darker colors for blonde hair just don't work. And I don't want to be the only natural blonde left in this stupid world!!! Blondes have more fun! And blonde hair rocks! As I said before, it is really hard for blonde hair to accept darker color, especially if your hair is that light a blonde. (Brown normally turns into a mousy-brown color that isn't very attractive.) It also horribly damages your hair.

Hi you cant dye your hair blonde if you have dark brown hair as it wont work, you have to bleach it. I recommend using highlighting first as going all blonde will see a bit weird after being dark so long. So us Bblonde Highlight medium to dark brown hair and leave on for the maximum time it says about 2 hours and then you will have lovely blode highligts dont wash off till the hair looks blonde or yellow or white all over as you might end up with ginger patches. But if you use a blonde hair dye it wont take at all and if you use just a brown I dont think that will work much either. You can get a hair dye that by LIVE colours which is for dark hair to lighten it but I have never tried it and I wouldnt really recommend it as you could end up orange.

You can, but the dye fades easily. Start with a lighter color than you think you actually want. When put over blonde, bropwns appear darker. I use a dark blonde and it comes out light reddish brown. But it starts to fade in about 2 weeks.

Try a shade lighter then you are thinking. You can always go darker, but to go lighter it has to grow out. I have very fair skin and my hair color is a chocolate brown and I have Mom's reddish tones (she was a carrot top) but on my 360 it looks a bit different .

I think going a light brown to start would be best. you dont wanna go to dark and then regret it and hate it. we always suggest a little lighter than what u want and if you dont like the results then u can go darker after. BUt i see nothing wrong with it at all if you want brown hair.

Hell yeah! My wife is naturally blond and recently dyed her hair to a dark brown. She has a very light complexion. She looks great! I really like the contrast between her skin tone and the dark hair.

I'd recommend light brown, so it is closer to your natural hair color. If you dye it too dark, it will look unnatural and you will end up with blond roots when your hair grows out.
