its for a science fair project i'm using the batteries on a flashlight

it really depends on the flashlight, i mean if its one of those cheapo kid ones ill bet you could get maybe 48 hours (2 full days) but i know that i left my mag-lite on by mistake (i changed batterys a few days ago) and it died within a day, i dont know how long as i only noticed it when it was dead. So i bet you could get anywhere from 15-50 hours, pending on the usage.

1000 hours is just nonsence, no offence. 100 hours is about 42 days (41.66666). are you telling me that you can leave a flashlight on for almost a month and a quarter and it WILL NOT DIE?!?!?!?!? wouldnt it be nice. i know that is not possable

Maybe about 1000 hours. But keep em' in a refridgerator and they last EVEN LONGER.
