a week ago, i got bladder infection so my doctor advised me to drink a lot of water.
i followed his advice and now, my jeans became loose.
i didn't do any fitness and ate as usual. just more toilet visits than ususal and no more constipation (excuse me*).
is it because of the water or am i having side-effect from the prescribed medicine?

It is possible that you lost some weight due to an increase in fluids. However, go see your local GP if it concerns you or you notice anything else out of the ordinary - it could be due to any number of side effects from the medication.

However, water is the single most important catalyst in losing weight and keeping it off. It is important to drink 8 - 10 glasses (approximately 2 Litres) a day. You should also increase the amount if you exercise briskly or if the weather is hot and dry. The water should preferably be cold because it absorbs into the system quicker than warm water. If you're not drinking enough water, your body fluids will be thrown off balance and you may experience fluid retention, unexplained weight gain and loss of thirst. Ultimately, when your body gets the water it needs to function at its best, its fluids are perfectly balanced.
WATER SUPRESSES THE APPETITE AND HELPS THE BODY METABOLISE STORED FAT

The kidneys need enough water to function properly. When they aren't receiving enough, some of their workload is dumped onto the liver. the liver's main function is to metabolise stored fat into energy for your body to use. Therefore, if the liver has to do some of the kidney's work, it will not function fully. This results in the metabolism of less fat, therefore, more fat remains stored in the body and weightloss stops.

DRINKING ENOUGH WATER IS GOOD FOR FLUID RETENTION

When your body is not getting enough water it begins to hold on to every drop possible to survive. When this happens water starts to store itself outside cells and this can lead to swollen feet, legs and hands. To prevent this from happening you must drink plenty of water! By doing this you will be releasing the stored water from cells.

AN OVERWEIGHT PERSON NEEDS MORE WATER THAN A THIN PERSON

Larger people have large metabolic loads and since water is essential for fat metabolism it is clear that an overweight person would need a large amount.

WATER HELPS TO MAINTAIN PROPER MUSCLE TONE

By giving the muscles the ability to contract. It also helps to prevent sagging skin that results from weightloss. Water re-hydrates the skin and leaves it clear, healthy and supple!

WATER HELPS TO FLUSH OUT WASTE

When losing weight, the body has a lot of waste or metabolised fat to get rid of and water aides in that process

WATER RELIEVES CONSTIPATION

When your body isn't getting enough water, it takes what it needs from other sources and the colon is a primary source. This results in constipation, however, by drinking enough water, normal bowl function will return.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

water will not really make you lose weight but can help you flush your system. This is why they recommend drinking lots of water when you are trying to lose weight, Also if you drink a lot of water your body doesn't feel as if it needs to hold on to the excess water in your system, this is why drinking lots of water will help with bloating.

Yes drinking water will help you lose weight.
Alot of our weight is just fluid and the water will help reduce some of that fluid from our bodies.
Also drinking alot of sodas, juices, and koolaid is not good for our bodies because it has alot of acid in it.

If you don't drink enough water your body stores it in your tissue. When you started drinking lots your body evacuated the excess. You can usually drop 5 quick pounds this way, but it isn't really weight loss, just flushing excess H2O stored in your tissues.

I suspect your medicine is responsible for your weight loss. HOWEVER, if you need to lose a few pounds- keep drinking that water... It's good for you, good with a diet, and GREAT for avoiding things like bladder infections, kidney stones, -you name it. Better to have to go to the bathroom on a regular basis- than to have to see your Doctor.
