I'm sorry....you might try making the litterbox level with the floor somehow so it's easier for kitty to get in & out!!! Good luck & sorry I can't help more!!

You could look for one of those aluminum pans that you use once and throw away. Get one that is an inch or two deep, or you could cut a cardboard box down to where it would be only a few inches deep. I don't think using pads on this cat would be a good idea. The pads will cause what ever the cat eliminates stick to her behind. I hope this helps and I really hope kitty will feel better soon.

Has kitty been to the vet? This injury needs medical attention to heal properly. The vet can also advise you about lifting etc. If kitty can urinate and have BM's it will mainly be a case of placing the cat in the cat box about 15-20 min after he or she eats or drinks. If the cat is not able to relieve itself you need vets help ASAP so that build up of body wastes does not cause the body to reabsorbe its own poisons. There will be accidents so the cat should have bed pads to lie on, the kind used by incontinent people.

You can look for some kitty diapers at pet stores. Your cat probably has some neurological damage. Pelvis fractures take about 3 weeks to heal mainly with "cage rest" (Most will heal without ortho surgery) The less motion, the fastest the healing.
Get a larger cage and fill it with litter, that will minimise the mess.
Good luck, Andrei

I assume you've been to a vet and had it x-rayed and it looks like stools will pass.

You probably should get your cat on a stool softener ASAP. See if the vet will prescribe one, and if it has been a while since he's pooped ask about laxatives that will work NOW. You don't want him to get impacted.

I agree with the suggestion of a flat pan. Like a cookie sheet. And surround the box with towels or something so that he won't track too much litter - best just to keep him in a room where you can clean tracked litter easily. I would clip the hair on the backs of his legs and lower half of his tail short (or have the vet do it) if you have trouble with him sitting in stuff and it sticking. It's much easier to keep clean and odor-free that way, you can just wipe with a washcloth.

Best wishes!
