"life and time do not exist in the world of fact, but only in the world of thought, and that world will not exist when I die, plus if I am right, the same thing will happen to you, no matter who you believe in."

That person has an interesting idea on religious views. What do you think about it?

Christians don't flame it either, you have to be respectful of others options, God would want that ;3

Yeah, I have a lot of religious theories and views, I don't know if they are right or not but I like thinking in different ways. It's nice to know that there is somebody out there that can look at other theories and not suggest that anyone who comes up with them are going to hell.

*If you would like to discuss this further feel free to e-mail or im me.

i'm no longer a Christian so i won't be able to reply to for them. one among your factors with regards to Sodom and Gemorah could be replied with the aid of the uncomplicated fact that those cities are already an archaeological fact. Judaism does view Genesis (Bereshit), it rather is an element of our Torah on 4 diverse tiers. on the optimal point (Sod) we see the creation as extra of an allegory of what definitely transpired. in case you have an interest in studying approximately this i might propose googling the be conscious "tzimtzum". you will get one among those hits so seem for the real Jewish websites that are listed. this could be a complicated study and one which you professor has no expertise of i'm advantageous yet once you prefer to work out how we've seen creation for the final 4000 years then this could be a solid start line.

First, let me say that I am a Christian, and believe the bible. Second, let me say that I seek truth and believe that sometimes non-Christians find a nugget from time to time that Christians reject because of the source.

Now, to answer your question. A non-Christian author said (paraphrase) "Instead of thinking of yourself as a physical being having a spiritual experience, think of yourself as a spiritual being having a physical experience." For you Christians, that parallels the bible (God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit). The world of spirit continues after the world of the physical. We go on to another phase of life, whether with God and all that is good or away from God and with all that is evil. Where we spend this eternal phase depends on whether we accept God and His Son Jesus Christ during the physical phase of our lives.

This perspective has enabled me to change my priorities. Now, what is material and/or physical is not nearly as important as what is spiritual. My house is not as important as the lives that live in it. My car is not as important as the people riding in it. The Cowboys' game is not nearly as important as spending time with my friends at church, worshipping God. This perspective has truly allowed me to "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" and wait for "all these things to be added" to me.

Hey, believe what you want to. God made us creatures of choice. We are given the right, by God to choose. You believe you are right, but, what if you are wrong. Do you really want to take that chance?

Have you ever been to a funeral? If the answer is yes, then your theory just fell apart.

Well that wasn't really encouraging...

I think that's a simplified version of the "Atheist wager" though.
