my friend (male) 16 was talking to our mutual female friend and i was sitting in front of them as i overheard my male friend say to our mutual friend as a joke that one of the guys in the class was less than attractive, then he said now she is beautiful! pointing to me... the mutual friend stopped talking and my male friend became shy and embarrassed he never mentioned anything again...
does he like me as more than a friend?

Well my best guy friend metions stuff like that all the time. He means it as a joke, but wants us to take the compliment too. Just ask him if you're bold enough or you'll never know for sure.
