Start to drop subtle hints, like hanging out mroe often, sitting close to him, the small flirting stuff. Try and get a feel as to whether or not he feels the same way about you.
If you're getting the "i'm so into you" vibe then go for it and work up the courage to spill the beans (easier said then done, I know)
Try talking to him and asking him quetsions, like over msn, try being like "Have you even been in this situation where your friend told you she liked you" and then see how he'd react if he were, or find out how he'd feel about it. Then just try and slip it in there that you're in that boat and you don't know what to do...then say it to him after he offers his advice.
Good luck

Girls are ALWAYS right, and if they don't know that, I won't date 'em :p haha, no but seriously. More than half the time, they've just got their head up their a.ss and don't realize their wrong. I wish they would actually listen. Just because they're the guy, doesn't mean they have to be have right about everything just to show off to their friends. I HATE that. Also, if they use a dumb pick-up line, or won't back off after being rejected already, then there is no way I'd even consider it again.

Welcome to young love--millions go thru what you have now experienced. Women and men are different---women are emotional--your feelings are typical of any young lady---boys your age are stimualted visually and are all happy to have a challenge. Not the same as you---so your conversation, right now, would probably go right over his head---to immature to get what you are saying---so the result would be disappointing, at best. If you asked about a car part--he'd be happy----so just wait and let time pass---and concentrate on school--your whole future depends on it---no grown man wants a dumb girl in later life. Be nice, smile, have fun---good luck

Ugh.... you don't!
Telling him you like him will not make you his girlfriend. To be a good girlfriend, you have to be a friend first (given that you two are in highschool or even middle school since you need advice from guys and girls aged 13 above).
If he is your friend, then just to hangout with him more and do stuff together... eventually he'll figure it out for himself and let the guy make his move and you should be the girl and make him chase for you

Just start a normal conversation with him and slowly tell him how you feel. All guys liked being talked to, so no worry, just tell him how you feel in a calm, normal conversation. Good luck.

Just tell him, face to face. Something like "Hey, you know you're a really great friend, but I feel differently about you, what do you think about dating?"
