Christianity so I thought is based on forgiveness of sins. So if I'm not Christian why would I go to Hell? Wouldn't the Christian God forgive me because all it is is a sin? Wouldn't that mean that if I were to go to a hell than everyone is because everyone "sins"?

Dude, there's a book out that explains it all. You can find it where most books are sold. I think the name is, The Holy Bible. It'll tell you how it all works. I recommend the N.I.V. addition. It is easier to understand.

Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Thats why there were animal sacrifices. God put an end to the animal sacrifices and sent his Son to die once for all, for all the sins of the world. The Bible teaches that he who believes in Him shall not be condemned, but he who believes not is condemned already. Read John 3:16

Forgiveness of sins is not for the unrepentant, only for those who choose to accept God's gracious offer and forsake their sins and turn back to the Father. If God just forgave everyone, including the unrepentant, then there would be no need for hell, thus making Himself a liar since He warns us of hell repeatedly.

It is God's will that all come to repentance and receive eternal life. God doesn't want anyone to go to hell. People will go there only because they choose to. What kind of God would let unrepentant people occupy heaven with the repentant? Can you imagine what that would be like? It would be no better than Earth is now with everyone going around doing whatever they wanted unrestrained. A just and holy and loving God will not subject his children to those conditions for eternity.

There has to be a separation of the unrepentant from the repentant in order for eternity to be without conflict and heaven to be at peace.

It's more than being forgiven...

You first need to ask for forgiveness, and seriously want to be forgiven.(forgiveness is not a "blank check" to act however you wish without consequence) Nextly, going to heaven is only available to those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That is accomplished by asking the Lord to enter your heart and accepting him as your personal Lord and Savior. I am parapharsing here so bare with me...Jesus said that eternal life in heaven is to go through him and only him. He is the way and the light.

That is a great question, and this is where alot of people get confused so I hope that you will find your way. Good Luck!!

All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

Christianity is about forgiveness. Jesus came to Earth to die for remission of your sins. You have to accept that fact and believe that it happened. Only accepting the Blood of Jesus can you enter into Heaven.

The Apostle Paul said: "If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved.Saved here means saved from the torture and torment of hell.

i believe that even if someone doesnt believe in god or christianity they can still go to heaven. almost everyone has this thing called a consience, if you do the correct thing your all good. if you correct your sins aka stupidities, your good.
if you are forgiving, you should be forgiven.

this is just what i think though. i am a christian but i have alot of views that are not popular and do not attend church because most are intollerant of looking at things from a different view.

If you accept God's forgiveness for your sin, you will go to heaven. It's not that He won't forgive you, it's that He loves you enough to allow you to make the choice. He won't force you into something you don't want. If you don't want a relationship with Him while you're on earth, what would make you want a relationship with Him for all eternity?

Everyone does deserve to go to hell. Those of us who are going to heaven are not going because we haven't sinned. We are going to heaven because God loved us enough to send His Son (Jesus) to die and rise again, and because we chose to accept that gift. It's not anything we've done; it is a gift from God simply because He loves us. He loves you that much, too.

Everyone does sin, and everyone needs forgiveness. God sent his Son to die for us on the cross for this forgiveness. You would be sent to hell for rejecting Jesus. God will forgive everyone, but only through his Son.

Well you have it half right. Yes, because Jesus paid the price for your sins on the cross, you can be forgiven. The caveat is, you must repent of those sins and believe in Jesus as your savior.

You are correct, God is not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. However, as John 3:16 tells us, God gave His only son so that whomsoever BELIEVES in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved".

There is no "Christian God", only God Almighty.God gave you free will. You have the ability to choose which path in life you take, the path to life everlasting or the path to eternal death. Yes we all sin, but Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins and gave us the gift of salvation. Sins can be forgiven if one so desires
