As someone who works for a large Seattle Aerospace company, I can say with extreme confidence that UPS has more planes.

The US Postal Service maintains a VERY small fleet of airplanes... they pay the airlines to carry the mail along for the ride on many commercial flights... UPS has a very large fleet of aircraft based in Louisville, KY but have many small bases around where the packages are unloaded and put onto trucks to head to smaller cities. The USPS just sends their mail on airline flights because its mostly letters and it would be tough to fill an airplane with letters... also, if you did fill a cargo plane with letters there will be several cities (100+ mile radius) and that sort of defeats the point of flying it in the first place... So to put it simply, UPS has a fleet of at least 100 more A/C than the USPS
