her ex probably hurt her and she's "sworn off guys". it won't be long and she'll get back out there. be there for her. get to know her. let her get to know you. earn her trust and you might be the lucky guy that will make her believe that there are a few good guys left and you're one of them! good luck!

It can mean exactly what it says, although the "long" time will probably wind up being shortened.
If you want to woo her in the mean time, do it in a NO PRESSURE way. Little cards or something, but nothing she has to say "yes" to. Take your time before asking her whether she's ready to maybe stick her toe in the water and try again.

she just wants time for herself right now,....it's nothing against you perse....it's just she wants to be alone for sometime.......it usually happens when you get out of a relationship.
