Or any shot for that matter, why are they always off to the side? I would really like to see the true ball flight. The way the position the camera it always appears to go right. Is anyone else frustated by this?

OH come on, camera men are walking around! And people are standing 10 feet behind the players how is a camera going to be any more in the line of site?

Pros do not like to see someone behind them when they are in the middle of their backswing. Actually, standing on either side of the tee box is much preferred, since this is out of their line of sight while they are addressing the ball and swinging.

You may not like the answer, but Tshark44 is dead on. Go to a pro tournament sometime. There may be people walking around, but during the swing, the golfer and his caddy try to get everyone to stand still, be quiet and not to stand directly behind the golfer. Catching some accidental movement out of the corner of your eye can and does disrupt your swing. After all this isn't just a 4some of weekend hacks. These guys and ladies make their living at this.

If you were more observant you would see shots taken from behind the player, it depends on how much room there is.

they are to the side so there is no interference on the play
what do you want a camera connected in the middle of the green?

because most players prefer to have no one in their eyesight of their swing, which would be the camera person, even if he is 20 yrds back...

I believe that all the cameras are on towers and stationary.
