You want to become what has been now pegged as a "throuple"

They don't work - they are even worse than a one night stand with a threesome!

I know a few people who tried and it always gets really ugly. Unless you believe in polygamy or "poly-amour" please stay away from this.

If you and your boyfriend are both o.k. with this and discussed it thouroughly, you should get to know her as a friend, and discuss at some point your views on sex, relationships, etc...If you can somehow bring up experimenting sexually, maybe she will clue you into her views. If she's like "that's wrong", I'd back off, but if she's like "I'd try anything once", hint at her about the threesome in a joking way. If she's up for it, she will let you know she's serious.
