i am applying for license in illinois
-have ssn card
-i am only 16 though = no bills, credit cards, or anything like that
-will magazine w/ my name/ street adress work?

appears your parent(s) (that you live with) can bring in a bill for your proof of residence

How about your student id card. I doubt they will take the magazine. If you are a minor and living at home, there should be no problem, your parent's address would be used. If you are on your own, and have gone to the courts to be emancipated, then you should have some kind of receipt for utilites or something. You could also use a library card. Check your state's driving manuel/identification manuel, it will show what forms of id are accepted. You can use a combination of forms to prove who you are.

i suggest contacting your local BMV, they will have a list of things that you can use to show your residency.
