I actually enjoy my visits to my dentist. I've developed a pretty good relationship with the doctor and his staff and we all seem to get along great. I take muffins or other treats by the office from time to time for no real reason and I even put a small thank-you ad in the local paper just last month as a way to thank them for their care. Maybe I'm over the top, I don't know. But I really do have a great time when I visit. I'm currently going through sort of a dental makeover and my dentist is documenting the procedure for some sort of dental journal.

GREAT! - a year and a half ago I had 4 cavaties ( 4 @ $185)
- but was going to wait until the next year when my dental
insurance kicked back in
In May 2006 found Tooth Soap - and started using it - once-twice/day
and also ate good veggies like spinach and brocolli
(now the stuff does taste nasty - BUT - you learn to keep it away
from the 'salt' taster in the back of your mouth - and rinse out -
never swallow this stuff)
When I went to the new dentist last month - we talked about my two
missing teeth - so I asked - "What about my cavaties?"
He said - "You have no cavaties."
WHOA! Nirvana! In just 7 months my teeth have re-enameled! And the jar that was supposed to last 3 months for two people, I have been using by myself since May 1, and I still have a third left -
the problem is that with commercial toothpaste - the glycerin that
makes your teeth shine - also puts up a barrier where calcium in
your body cannot re-enamel your teeth
here is their website
and by the way - another mother and her child had 9 cavaties between them - and they are now GONE !
best of luck (tell them tomkat1528 sent you) I get nothing but kudos
And your teeth feel so clean - you will feel this difference after
the first time you brush!

When I was young I was scared and ended up not going enough and got myself in trouble with my teeth health.
In my mid 20's I finally got insurance and went to the dentist. At first I was very concerned but as the dentist finally started making progress fixing the health of my teeth I started actually enjoying going there because these are the people who are saving my teeth. If I felt some pain in the dental chair I convinced myself that that pain is getting one inch closer to health so it did not bother me. So as my mouth get back to a healthy mouth I do not have any issue going to the dentist - only now it is just for cleanings. I am not saying I enjoy getting my teeth cleaned but I don't freak out about it anymore.
You need to remember your long life is very much tied to your dental health. (that is a fact )

I'm in my 40s and hate going that I haven't seen a dentist in 10 plus yrs, I know I need to see one, but with the bad experienced I tremble at the thought. Some how I have to force myself to go before my teeth falls out. They are more expensive the medical doctors, and I don't understand that because with modern technology it hard to understand the expense.

It's a necessity of life, so I just go, even though I hate the bills. My wife, on the other hand, damnn near has to be hospitalized for high blood pressure and anxiety over going, and the dentist takes extra precautions with her to make damnn sure she's not going to "stroke-out" on him, but, that's her anxiety, not the dentist. God Bless you.

it's okay. I like the feel of my teeth after they are cleaned and polished. I like it less when I have to get fillings or other work done but I mostly hate sitting there for a long time.
I would rather go to dentist than doctor anyday >LOL

I love it! I love to have my teeth cleaned. I have a great rapport with my dentist - he is very laid-back and easy going. He says what is on his mind, works effieciently and is always pleasant. He is also great with kids!

Terrible, awful, petrified. I'd rather go to 10 doctors than to one dentist. Hate it.
