The muscles that control the movement of your eye can get tired just like any other muscle in your body. The difference is that the eye muscles are involuntary and so you don't control them all the time. They are constantly working and have to relax sometimes...especially after squinting or concentrating on something small.

In some cases my right eye has spend weeks twitching and I have realized that it has happened just when I am very stressed out, once I get relaxed again and it gets OK again. So maybe you are stressed out for something, for example you are starting a new job, you are moving to another city, just broke up a relationship, etc. Listening music and sleeping enough it always can help to get relaxed.

Its not. But if it was it would probably be because of a muscle spasm. The muscles in my eye would get stressed and spaz out.
