Recently I colored my hair with a demi permanent color. It came out a bit darker than I wanted...Does demi mean it will wash out?

yes demi-will fade out...... if you try to color over it it will only get even darker, if you previously had color on your hair that is one reason it came out darker because color on color gets darker..... also if you bought it from a drug store / super market chances are you didn't even get the color you were shooting for (kids can be cruel and most of those boxes are not tamper proof, so they could have been switched) in the future i suggest getting it professionally done so this doesn't happen again.

Demipermanent Coloring
Formulated to deposit color on the hair shaft without lightening it. This formula has smaller molecules than those of temporary tinting formulas, and is therefore able to penetrate the hair shaft. It also lasts longer than semi permanent hair keeping color intact up to 15-24 shampoos.

well, all hair color will wash out eventually, but some take longer than others i think. i have semi-permanent color in right now, and mine will just fade back to my normal color. and i know that there are others that will just grow out.

but my advice is to go to your hairdresser b/c my friend dyed her hair and didn't like it, so she tried to dye it again and it turned out this other color that she didn't expect.
