I've gone to Starbucks plenty of times... but for some reason the Frappuccinos usually end up making my boyfriend and I sick, even the lattes. I have the belief that their dairy is being handled wrong and I know complaining to a store manager won't help, its at different Starbucks and I don't feel like complaining in vain - they're not going to change much. How do I alert an inspecion agency, business watch group, or something to these? Or do I have to go to the doctor and get an actual diagnosis before someone does something?

The sickness is just stomach cramping, shakes, fever, and my personal "plumbing" starts to malfunction a bit. I'm attributing it to poor handling of dairy, since their teas and other things don't make me sick.

I would start with the primary manager of the store, they do not want to have law suits on their hands from customers getting ill. Then the local city health department if the manager does not take action. They can be shut down if the health inspector finds any violations.

it may not be bad dairy practices, but an allergic reaction to what the dairy product is. but if you suspect they are not using proper procedures, contact the local health inspection office. it may be a city office, or, as where i'm at, a county office. you aren't required to make any official complaint, but you can tell them something is making you sick. they will send an inspector just to be safe. if they say they can't call the local newspaper or tv station and ask them to check into it. they can often get govt inspectors to do what they are supposed to do but don't want to unless they are forced into acting.

The Food And Drug Administration (FDA) handles such complaint/reports.
