why do guys like the short gurls and not the tall gurls? would u date a gurl taller or tall as yourself?

as tall as me is fine taller than me is kind of uncomfartable

Not all guys like short girls - look at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes - she is way taller.
A man has to be very self-confident and secure in his masculinity to be with a taller chick - shallow, isn't it? But hieght is empowering. It puts the taller one in a position of superiority. The king's throne is higher than the queen's...Ever hear the phrase :talking down to somebody"? Why do kids play "king of the hill"? - to be on top of course!
It all ties to the one that is the highest, ie -the tallest. Just like most men cannot stand to have their wife earning way more money then them - taller women works the same way. It feeds into a man's insecurity and need to be masculine and strong. After all, how funny would it be if Lois Lane were 5 inches taller than Superman?
When a tall chick finds a man that can truly appreciate her - he is either a truly secure man, or he might prefer to have her "wear the pants" and be in control of the relationship.
As for me, I married a man taller than me. It feels secure knowing he is bigger than me, so he is better able to protect me if need be...!!

I'm 6'2" so it has not been a question for me but my daughter is nearly 6' and she has never had a boyfriend as tall as her. A lot of models are very tall and people think they are beautiful so it really shouldn't be a big deal.

It makes them feel more masculine/in control, and that helps give confidence for interacting with someone who you're more than likely enamoured with. It also works the other way around, short women want only taller men to date.
Tall women seem to be more forgiving in this respect than their shorter counter parts. To be brief, short women make a man feel more manly, but its only a booster shot to make them feel better.

...Okay two answers: 1. its a matters of looks esp if guys like short ladies..we tend to be afraid of tall ladies becuase we ( just some of the guys ) get scared by the Amazon look....the look that seem to imply I can beat the daylights out of you etc. 2. I would date a lady tall or taller than me...not bother the Amazon look.

im pretty tall, so most gurls are shorter than me.
but i wouldnt want a girl taller than me, it seems odd.
