Hello. There are several answers that I could agree with, but I thought I'd give it to you this way! The scripture's warning about not casting your pearls before swine means not showing or manifesting your pearls to those who will not appreciate it or value it. It's like why tell someone your earnest dreams when all that person would do is belittle you, ridicule you, and not recognize the heartfelt feelings and thoughts. It's like why show someone a million dollar painting when all they'll do is thrash it. It's about using wisdom. It's about being wise to whom you share your heart, as to those things most important to you. Hope this helps.

The Bible says not to cast your pearls before swine lest they turn and rend you.

That means not to thow the precious gospel (word of God) to a bunch of heathen ppl who will not appreciate it and will just attack you in return.

Giving pearls of wisdom to dumb animals does nothing for the animal, and wastes the pearls.

The are the people who will trample on what is your spiritual treasures. Like make fun & bad talk what God has given you. Saying that the pearls are good for nothing and you are good for nothing.

Treat God's gifts with dignity...

Matt 7:6 “Do not give holy things to dogs. Do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they might walk all over them. Then they might turn around and tear you to pieces.

Don't give things of value to those who have no idea what to do with it. This could mean anything of value including wisdom, advice, good deeds, material things etc.

One thing this means is that trying to share God's Word (truth) with a mocker who is not interested is something you should avoid.

I think that it means something similar to this:

--------------------
7 "Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult;
whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse.

8 Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you;
rebuke a wise man and he will love you.

9 Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still;
teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.

~Proverbs 9 (NIV)
