It is also forbidden in Judaism and Christianity. It goes back to the Ten Commandments. Exodus 20:14, or Deuteronomy 5:18, "You shall not commit adultery" is the Seventh Commandment. (Sixth for Catholics and Lutherans, Fifth for Muslims.) This means that sex before marriage is a sin that God spoke directly to Moses to warn against. Breaking a trust with God is a sin. We should all strive to be free from sin.

I can't answer for Islam specifically, as I don't know enough about it. However, it is true that the other two Abrahamic religions, Christianity and Judaism, frown on premarital sex because the Creator has given that sex should be a means of reproduction. Abrahamic religions place great value on a family headed by a married couple, man and woman, with the man as the head of the family. When sex, and the babies that come from sex, are outside of this structure of the nuclear family, this disrupts the pattern of creation. So there will be less assurance that the child will be cared for by a father and a mother, and will be brought up in the right religion.
In practice, the burden of pregnancy and childbirth is mainly on women. Should the father desert, the burden of raising the child is mainly on the woman as well. A man who marries a virgin is thus assured that she is not already pregnant by another man, and so the child is his. Therefore, chastity in women is valued even higher than chastity in men, although both are valued highly. Biology isn't fair, but it's the hand that we are dealt.

May the peace, blessings and mercy of Allah be upon you Firstly, sister you shouldn't be talking to this boy about these things, he probably doesn't have very good intentions. But to answer your question, for anything that is forbidden in Islam (alcohol, gambling, pork, fornication) is simply because God has asked us not to do these things. And he knows what is better for us, look at what sex before marriage has done to the society, there are teens girls with kids, so many children with only one parent who sometimes don't even know their father. Intercourse without marriage, is a MAJOR SIN, we should stay away from Satan's handiwork and always seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast Peace Be With You

For the same reason that it's forbidden or warned against in many other religions. Many religions believe sex was created for marriage and premarital sex is against the laws of their God. Many believe premarital sex destroys the concepts of family and fidelity.

Islam: According to the Qur'an, "the believers are...those who protect their sexual organs except from their spouses... Therefore, whosoever seeks more beyond that [in sexual gratification], then they are the transgressors." (23:5-6). Muslim scholars say this statement "makes it very clear that any sexual gratification outside marriage is considered a transgression of the law of God."

i am a muslim.sex 4 both sexes are banned b4 marriage.but i wanna explain why it is more important 4 girls according to a IMAM ALI's saying.listen
1 day ALI's (god bless him)friends asked him this question. Imam orderes his friends to bring some jars.asked 1 man to soak his hand in all of the jars.although not pleasant but the water in the jars was still drinkable.but then Imam ordered some men to enter their hands in 1 of the jars.as u can guess the water of that jar was no longer edible.this is the necessity for girls 2 only have sex-intercourse with 1 man.
i hope i will be helpful
