Sure, but Abilify tabs aren't scored in the middle to break apart and they're so tiny it's rather difficult. But it can be done, carefully. And please let your doctor know that you cut it in half to adjust the dosage, so he/she will be aware of why you did so. Then he/she can help understand your needs and adjust the prescription accordingly. Maybe you can tolerate just a wee less of Abilify and get a prescription for a smaller milligram tab and then won't need to fuss with those tiny pills anymore.

Abilify Tablets

You certainly can. You can pick up a pill cutter at any drug store for a few dollars..they work great, even on such small pills as abilify. The great thing about abilify..(obviously not the absolutely incredibly high cost) is that there are few, if any side effects or withdrawal symptoms. I took this drug for over two years and was like a yo yo going on and off of it..and it never affected me like any of the other anti-psychotics did. I know that I should advise you to tell your doctor that you are doing this..as the other folks that answered you did..but I certainly never told mine, and it never caused me to go off-the-wall. But everyone is different I suppose. Good luck..and I hope this works for you!

Only if the doctor tells you to. You should always talk with the doctor first if you suspect a problem with your medication. Abilify works with the brain and you do not want to cause any stress to your system by just halfing the meds on your own.

Be safe and call the doctor first. :)

why do you want to cut them in half? if its to take less then the dosage your doctor prescribed you, then you shouldn't do that without consulting him.

but say if you have a 30mg tablet and your doctor lowered it to 15mg. and your just wondering if you can cut the pill because its not scored down the middle. you can cut it. I've check with a pharmacy.
