Why do you think people eat plastic? Fruit roll ups are sugar and pureed friuts, if you have a dehydrator you can make them at home. No plastic needed. Your not eating it with the wrapper on are you?

Fruit roll-ups are not plastic. They're fruit preserves squashed and dehydrated and then pressed in a sheet, which is applied to cellophane to allow it to be unrolled (fruit snacks like it are often sold in short narrow sheets, called fruit leather).
