well ive been runningfor awhile.
and im a girl.

butttt. im thinking if i should try out for my highschools cross country team. but i want to know if my time is like goood enough.

and i havent exactly timed a 3K before. but i definitely have ran a 3K mannny manny times before.

uh buddy up there, 3k is about 1.5-1.8 miles

you should be running 13:00-13:30

A 27 for a girls is 5K not a 3k

Hey M,

I ran Cross Country and Track in high school. I ran anything from the 800 to 3200. I ran the 3000 a few times in middle school. I ran a personal best (PB) of about 12 minutes. I would say an average 3k time for freshman in high school is about 13:00. However, you can easily get this time down. Just listen to your coach, run smart, drink a lot of water throughout the day, eat right and stretch after your runs. You should be fine. Good luck. By the way, I'm a male.

An average time for a girl would be about 12 min to 12:30 for a 3k. In high school you will be running 2 miles in track. Cross Country will be 3 miles to 5k or 3.1 miles.Do track if you are still in middle school. Then start traing for Cross Country during the summer.

I'm in 6th grade and I can run a 3k in 12:45. but you should at least be able to run one in 13:15

hey missy,
u shud b doin lik at most 15mins for 3k.
im male and do 10mins 3.3km.
drink water throughout day even if ur nt thirsty. an my secret: if u hav stitches durin run, try BREATHE SLOWER. or...cup ur hands on ur mouth and d goal is 2 get less oxygen in. ur stitches will lessen.

If you just started running and this is your first year then maybe 26 or 27min if your a guy. what time did you run?
