Does anyone know the term of the hair cutting style that makes your hair fuller? It's not layering. I always got my hair layered and I hated it. I went to a salon out of state one time and the girl that cut my hair said she was going to do some other style of cut instead of layering it. She said it makes it look fuller and it did. I loved it but don't remember the term she used. I want to get another haircut locally but I want to know what to tell the hairdresser to do.

It may be called texturing. I have it done on my hair, but I can't exactly recall what it is called. It is where the stylist does little snips about an inch or 2 inches long make some hairs stand up and give it a fuller appearance. I hope this helps.

I don't know about cuts but I know about how to use your products wisely:

STEP 1: Choose a body-building shampoo and conditioner. Remember to use a light conditioner, though - heavy conditioners can make hair go flat.
STEP 2: Look for the following in the ingredients: proteins (keratin and collagen), silicone polymers or polymeric quaternium compounds. These compounds stick to the hair shaft and make your hair appear thicker.
STEP 3: Purchase a styling product such as mousse, gel or hairspray.
STEP 4: Put a small amount of the product in your hands and rub them together.
STEP 5: Run your fingers through your hair and rub the product into your roots.
STEP 6: Lift and "scrunch" your hair (that is, squeeze it in the palms of your hands from the ends of the hair to the roots). STEP 7: Let your hair air-dry, or blow-dry it using a dryer with a diffuser attachment. Also, try blowing it dry with your head upside down.
