Short answer... No.

Long answer... No. There has never been a death or even a serious injury in the UFC. There has only been one recorded death in MMA/NHB history. It tool place I believe in 1995 in Russia at an unregulated event. There were no fight doctors present and the fighter in question had blacked out twice in training during the week leading up to the event. One death in approximately 65 years... Not too bad. Even badmitten has more deaths (3).

Almost every show fighters go to the hospital afterwards. A lot of knockouts REQUIRE MRI's and/or CT scans. Sometimes it's just stitches or small broken bones. As far as deaths? No UFC fighters have ever died as a result of fighting. In fact there has only been 2 death associated to MMA competition. 1 was at a unsanctioned fight in Europe and only 1 at a sanctioned fight. It happened in Texas last year in October. The fighter died a few weeks later while suffering a stroke in a coma. Injuries requiring hospital attention.....ALL the time Deaths......almost NEVER

1998 in a Ukrainian event American fighter Douglas Dedge died from normal punishment in a fight. You can search his name if you are gruesome enough to watch the video, which is available on-line.

no not in UFC pride K-1 or international fight leagues there have been some deaths in other mixed martial arts those wer enot certified and the gusy wer enot trained mostly just street fighters no real skills

No, but one guy did in an unauthorized event somewhere in eastern Europe about 10 years ago. Thats the only recorded death in modern MMA that I know of.
