I have also found that leaving an article of clothing that smells of me with my pups helps them to sleep better. In addition, you may want to exercise her intensively before going to bed so that she is tired. This may help her sleep more soundly.
The most important thing is not to give in to her barking. If she learns that barking will get her released from the crate, it's all over for you. Firmly tell her no when she first begins to whimper, before the barking starts.
I have also found with a couple of dogs, that they are uncomfortable with the silence at night. Try leaving a radio on for her so she doesn't feel so alone.

You didn't say whether she is still a puppy or not. If she has just left her mother then she is missing mom and siblings. Try putting a hot water bottle and a ticking clock into the crate with her. She may mistake these for family and sleep through. If they don't work then you will have to live with it until she settles down for the full night. Don't respond to her barking. The neighbours may complain but she will eventually stop when it gets no attention,

Give her something of yours that you have been wearing, like an old t-shirt, or socks (my dog used to enjoy my socks, they collect a lot of a persons smell). Then just relax her before you go to bed and then pet her and let her see you're leaving, give her the chance to accept that it is your place as leader to sleep in your spot and her place to sleep in her spot. Reinforce it with treats in the morning when you wake up if she doesn't bark. If she does bark all night, ignore her. She needs to learn the lesson that you are the boss and the boss has a spot that she can't go in. When she realizes that, she'll respect your space.

I had a puppy once that was lonely. We put a big teddy bear in her cage, and it helped her sleep during the night. The biggest thing though is time. It will take the dog a little while to get used to her new surroundings. Once she is trained, and gets used to her surroundings you shouldn't have any more problems.

You didn't say how old the dog is & how long she has been staying in the crate.
You can add an air purifier to your room and see if it makes a difference.
One last thing to try, give the dog an old t shirt that you have worn several times without washing to see if it comforts her.

you must be strong and patient, she will learn when it is time to wake up if you leave her alone, dont even say anything to her or even tell her to stop, she will only see it as posititve reinforcement that barking makes you talk to her. i just raised 2 pupppies and it worked for me
crate training is the best
spay/nueter or i will think not nice thoughts about you
