if you have curly hair www.ouidad.com is THE go-to site. they specialize in curly hair.
if you have wavy unmanagable hair like me, i would recommend redken or biolage products... it really depends on your hair which will work better for you. biolage is better for my sisters hair, whilre redken works better for mine.
first let me lay down a few basics:
1) let your hair dry naturally as MUCH as possible and use a WIDE TOOTH COMB to brush through it while wet. when your hair is wet all of the hydrogen bonds that give it its natural shape when dry state are temporarily broken, making hair MUCH weaker, so when you brush it, you tug and pull at your hair breaking and stressing many strands. DO NOT rub your hair in a towel to dry it!!!! THIS IS HELL ON YOUR HAIR, think of it as grating cheese. you are wearing down your hairs cuticle (the protectant layer of your hair) and eventually it will just break off. remember that hair is especially fragile when wet. if you do have to blow dry and straighten it use a heat protector, i use redken satinwear ultimate blowdry lotion. straighten/curl hair as little as possible to prevent as much damage as you can. you can let your hair dry naturally and style it into a trendy updo, there are many sites that will give you instructions and ideas for such styles.
2) use a moisturizing conditioner and shampoo, never use 2 in one shampoo&conditioners because they dont work worth anything. ALWAYS use conditioner!! (i use redken all soft shampoo& conditioner, the smell reminds me of butter cookies!) make sure not to scrub your hair in the shower, just gently massage it being careful to not to rub your hair together as this is very damaging.
3) use some kind of leave in treatment, i use redken anti snap leave in. i just squirt some in my hands and finger it through the hair when damp. your hair needs protection from all of the elements you expose it to during the day: sun, wind, pollution, etc.
4) use a conditioning treatment once a week, these treatments are SUPER moisturizing and proteing packed. (i use them 2 times a week b/c i love them so much) i used redkens butter cream treat w/avacado in the gold tub/or tubee.
5) every 4-8 weeks go to your salon for a deep conditioning treatment. it's a worth while indulgence and i have never felt my hair so amazing then after i get these done, they cost about 15 bucks depending on the salon (i obv use a redken exclusive salon)
6) get your hair trimmed regularly. if you are not growing out your hair opt for every 4-6 wks, if you are growing it long like i am, opt for 8 wks. your hair will be able to manage 8 weeks if you take care of it.
7) color your hair as little as possible, chemically altering your hair is terrible damage to your hair (perming, permanent straightening, etc)
8) invest in a silk pillow, this will reduce friction from tossing and turning while you sleep and keep your hair shiny as well because it won't absorb as many of the oils in your hair/face like other fabrics do... but you still have to wash it with your sheets every week to keep from dirt build up!
i'll admit that the products can be expensive ($13 - $20 for one bottle of shampoo), but to me it is worth having awesome hair! just try and damage your hair as little as possible by follwing the tips i just gave you. good luck and if you have any ?S feel free to email me at cm73802@yahoo.com i'd be happy to help
or else just search hair care tips on the net and i'm sure you will find a bundle, just make sure it is a reliable site such as a salon's site or established brand (such as pantene) good luck i hope this helps.

OMG been there done that. I have probably the poofiest hair uv seen in ur life and im white! LOL. I cant brush my hair either or it just explodes...so this is what I do:
I take a nighttime shower and put in a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. If u have a leave in conditioner that works even better. Then I come out and brush my wet hair out really well (making sure to leave it as damp as possible without it dripping on the floor). Then I make two ponytails and go to bed. But the time I wake up, my hair looks really in control and it's in perfect little curls!
If ur hair is like mine, this technique will work wonders. Good luck on ur unmanagable hair! :)

You need to get good products. Try the super skinny line from Paul Mitchell. Especially the super skinny serum, if you put it on when your hair is damp, it will help you comb through it easily. I have super bleached out hair that frizzes and I use these products and it totally controls my hair. If you can't afford the whole line, at least get the serum, it will help you immensely.
If you are wanting more control over your hair, you could try having some layers put in it and depending on how thick it is, you could have it thinned to help it be more manageable.
Good luck!

Of course! There's a solution to every type of hair! Don't worry. There is a shampoo and conditioner I use and it's works wonders. It's called Fructis Garnier Sleek & Shine. It smells really good and it works wonders. There's an entire line for it and you can by all of it for a really decent price. There's a shampoo and conditioner for all types of hair and there's also an after shower hair conditioner, hair serum, and many more to choose from. You can buy it at a local store near you. Good luck to your hair! :D

yes. i have a good idea. there is this shampoo and conditioner(that i use) for "poofy" hair. It is Sunsilk's AntiPoof. It is dark blue. You can gt it almost anywhere
Target
Walmart
CVS
anywhere.
If that doesnt work try getting some cut off. That may help the struggle.
I hope I helped!!!
Good Luck!<3
