Technically, dogs do not have periods, but they go into "heat" or "season."
.Females go into heat about every 6 months. and the heat cycle lasts for 21days.
The heat cycle of the female dog has three parts and lasts about 3 weeks.
The first part lasts anywhere from 3-14 days during which a bloody discharge and swelling of the vaginal area are usually seen.
Next the dog will become receptive to being bred and actively may seek out a male dog. This is the time when she can become pregnant. The discharge may change color at this time and become lighter.
Finally, the discharge will become clearer, the vaginal swelling will diminish and the dog will no longer allow herself to be bred.
While your dog is in heat you must watch her carefully to avoid unwanted breeding and subsequent puppies. If you are not planning on breeding your dog, please have her spayed to help prevent unwanted puppies. It I will also lower her risk to several types of cancer.

In canines, the "era" is observed as a warmth. To my expertise, a ***** will flow into her first warmth in below a year previous. So in some month or 2, i might initiate searching for indicators. while she does come into warmth, be certain you keep a watch on her in any respect instances. generally while there are different canines around particularly unaltered male canines. additionally, some human beings use diapers to maintain the residing house clean for those few days. This being stated, why do no longer you get her spayed? i understand there are various people who wont till after the *****'s first warmth, even nonetheless there has been no evidence that it reward the ***** in any respect the way with the aid of doing this. Get her spayed now and you wont could handle this variety of stuff :)

your dog is not on her period she is in "heat" which means any male dog that comes around she is going to let him mount her. it usually lasts 2 weeks so keep her away from male dogs and about the nipples i am not sure call your local vet about that.
