It is a bad idea to take a pill that you have not be prescribed. Having said that, if all you wish to do is identify what the pill is (perhaps you found it in your son's backpack, for instance, or perhaps you saw a friend take it) you can take the pill to the local pharmacy to find out exactly what it is. You can also find many helpful websites, such as the ones listed as sources below.

Where did you find it and why would you want it to be identified? If you found it on the street or a parking lot then why did you pick it up? If it was in your house and not one of yours then just throw it in the trash. Don't know why you need to know what it is. Unless you have children and think they brought it in. Then I'd say find out what it is.

Yes it can be indentified....the capsule should have numbers or characters imprinted on the capsule. A call to your pharmacy or a hospital pharmacy would have access to micromedx software that can be used for medication identification...hope this helps you

Contact your local pharmacy... You can describe the pill and they can tell you what it is. If there are any letters or numbers on the pill they will need that information.

it could be anything call any pharmacy and ask but there should be some letters on there and tell them those if not just tell him the colors

your best bet would be to take it to your local pharmacist. i've seen several caps like that and they range from fiber caps to iron caps
