if your DVD player is separate, put it on "AUX" then any channel. If your DVD player is built into your TV, you have to put it on "DVD". Other TV's you tune to channel 3. If none of these works for you, then you have a system I never used before.

OK if your cable box plays on ch 4 you need to have the directions that came with your DVD player look in the directions for changing the RF output of the DVD player it will tell you how to change the output of the DVD player from channel 3 to channel 4 also if you used the RCA cables to hook the DVD player to the TV look on the back of the TV and read what is written on the jacks you plugged into if it reads input 1 or line in or aux than all you need to do is set your TV to read that set of jacks look for a button labeled source or TV / video some TV you just tune below ch 2 and they will say video 1 or aux good luck

The DVD player needs to be plugged in to the digital cable box, and needs to be on channel 3 or 4. Some TVs have an audio/video setting or channel so you may want to check yours. You can call your cable co. and they can talk you through it. Best of luck to you!!

Not sure -- tv channel 3 was set asside for devices like dvd's and cassette recorders -- may have to switch digital cable off to do that ,depends on the cable company. I bought a switch at Radio Shack that handles it for me but not all cable companies are created equal.

maybe there is a button on your remote that changes it to TV/Video try that. Or another way they have it on my TV is I have to change it to the V2 Setting channel cause that's the channel that the DVD player works.
=)

it has nothing to do with your cable box, if you have a video button on your tv hit it until you see something on the screen, if no video button, change the channel on the tv down below the numbers until you see something,
hope this helps

Usually there is an I/O port. So just press INPUT or VCR or DVD on your remote... and then turn on your DVD player... it's not that hard.
